BIOGRAPHY
I was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina and I moved to the USA in 1994. I have been a musician and visual artist since as long as I can remember. I compose a wide variety of styles of music some of which can be described as electronic experimental / modern classical / ambient / cinematic / techno and post rock all with a micro sound approach.

PROFESSIONAL SUMMARY

Electronic Music Composer, Sound Designer, ReRemixer, Film and TV Editor. I have a couple of decades of experience as a composer and sound designer for films, short films, cartoons and commercials as well as video editing and music editing. I play different instruments: guitar (electric, acoustic and midi), clarinet, charango, ronroco, piano, bass and percussion. I also use various hardwares for the creation of my music (zoia fx, Modular system, various synths). But I consider my studio in its entirety as my main musical instrument. I also have more than 20 experimental electronic music albums that I have released under my pseudonym OdNu.
"Ronroco Rococo Memories" is an album made almost entirely with the Ronroco (a folkloric instrument of the charango family from the Andes in northern Argentina and Bolivia) that I heavily processed through loopers, fxs and a modular system.

"Time is a place" is an ambient guitar album rich with melodies that swirl,contort,morph and fade in and out, with an orchestral harmonic quality, guiding the listening mind through dreams of melting landscapes in a time that is a place …a place I arrived at by working on those mind states between asleep and awake.

The album "The Wind Swept all the Colour" is composed of orchestral
melodies, snippets of heavily treated loops, field recordings and Synths all working together to evoke a film projected right inside your mind.

"A Memory of Tomorrow"
The project is an experiment on finding balance between pop hooks and experimental arrangements.
The result of this collaboration is a melancholic and uplifting experimental
ambient pop/post rock album titled "A Memory of Tomorrow". Where dreamy storytelling vocals float around midi guitar arrangements creating a futuristic slow motion folk atmosphere with an almost symphonic feeling.

“Falling Down in Slow Motion” by OdNu was created over a two week period of insomnia. The album plays with the abuse and destruction of classical acoustic instrument recordings and blurred electronics rendering the leftover debris into a soundtrack for sleepless nights.

Each track on “Virtual Reality Reality” uses the midi guitar (without following the DAW’s grid) as the primary tool to organically record and layer a rich dialogue of melodies and textures.
The effect is rather orchestrally dystopian where there is a diverse array of musical influences from experimental electronic, jazz, tango, 1920’s silent film scores, 4th world music and more. Some artists that inspire and influence my music are Astor Piazzolla, Jan Jelinek, Jackazek, Jon Hassel Murcof and various film scores.
The listener of the album V.R.R. will find themselves entering into a juxtaposition of feelings under an architecture of melodies that orbit each other independently integrating and disintegrating. Each song feels like it inhabits both the past and the future, is both familiar and alien where one feels lost and found and also equally hopeful and sad.

"Expansive Nothingness" is a beautifully executed binaural 3D textural experimental guitar ambient album. It was recorded throughout the weird year of 2020 as a way for Michel to cope and channel his feelings on the events that took place. He discovered that even the most intense, chaotic and surreal realities can become harmonious when we don’t let fear control us and we allow ourselves to observe from a perspective of expansive nothingness.

“My Own Island” is about that personal creative space and individual internal reality that each of us has. Each track on the album are poems within poems where I encoded my ideas and feelings into the sounds, loops and melodies. Even the album titles can be read like a poem. The guitar is the main instrument (even synth sounds are played with a midi guitar) with the addition of supporting instruments like voice, charango, clarinet, prepared vst piano, various synths and field recordings. All sounds pass through hardware effects back and forth before being recorded in my DAW. The mix is also a big part of the composition where I work with fader and knob gestures as an expressive tool in order to add a more human feeling. The result is a weaving in and out of leitmotifs that travel through ambient landscapes, dub infused passages or even sometimes song-like structures. A humanistic, expressionist, unclassified album guided by intuition and mixed in Dolby Atmos and made entirely on my own island.
